Sanitation & Recycling

Trash pickup is every Wednesday.  Please have your container to the curb by 7:00 am.  Out collection service company now has the truck with the arm extention to pickup up your can.  All trash must be contained in the can.  They can no longer pickup trash beside the can.  Please call City Hall at 641-535-2494 with any questions. 

The City of Russell contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection and recycling. Everyone within the city limits is required to have garbage collection and all residential customers within the city limits are required to have recycling collection.
